Extract just one page from a PDF (without printing the rest)

The fastest path from "I only need page 4" to a single-page PDF — without re-rendering or losing fidelity.

split extract
The short answer

Someone sends a 60-page agreement and the only page that matters is page 12. Don't print-to-PDF — that re-renders everything and loses the signature.

Ready to try this yourself?

Open Split PDF in a new tab and read the rest while you upload.

Open Split PDF

There's a common bad habit: opening the PDF, hitting Print, choosing "pages 12-12", and printing to a PDF printer. That works, but it re-rasterises everything. Selectable text becomes a flat image. Signatures lose their cryptographic backing. Hyperlinks die.

The right move

  • Open Split PDF in Evixpdf.
  • Choose Split by range and type just `12` (or `12-12`).
  • Hit Split. You get one file with only page 12, with text, signatures, links, and bookmarks intact.

Why this matters for signed PDFs

A digitally signed PDF protects a specific page range. Print-to-PDF makes a new, unsigned file. The legal validity of the page is lost in the process. Real splitting preserves the original signed bytes, so when you forward page 12 the signature still verifies in Adobe Reader.
