Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

We collect only what we need to provide and improve the service:

• Files you upload — only for as long as it takes to perform the operation you requested (e.g. convert or compress). They are deleted automatically after processing or when your session ends.
• Account data — if you create an account: your email address and a securely hashed password. Optional profile fields if you provide them.
• Usage data — API call counts, tool used, timestamps, and credit balance, to operate billing and rate limits.
• Technical data — IP address, browser/user-agent, and pages visited, collected automatically for security and analytics.

2. How we use your data

• To perform the document operations you request.
• To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
• To meter usage, apply quotas, and process payments for credits.
• To monitor, debug, and protect the service against abuse.
• To send service and (with consent) product update emails.

3. File handling & retention

Documents are processed by the in-house EvixOffice engine on our own servers. We do not forward your files to third-party conversion clouds.

Uploaded and generated files are stored only transiently to complete your request and are removed automatically afterwards. We do not use the contents of your documents to train AI models.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to deliver the tools you ask for), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), consent (optional analytics and marketing email), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

5. Sharing & sub-processors

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with vetted service providers ("sub-processors") who help us run the service — for example hosting, payments, analytics, advertising, and email delivery. Each is bound by contract to protect your data. See our Sub-processors page for the current list.

6. Advertising & third-party cookies

To keep the everyday tools free, we may display ads. Where we do, third-party vendors — including Google — use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Evixpdf and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at https://www.aboutads.info/choices or https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Advertising and analytics cookies are optional. Our cookie banner lets you accept or reject them, and we honour your choice using Google Consent Mode (ads and analytics are denied by default until you accept). The documents you upload are never shared with advertisers.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. You can withdraw consent for analytics, advertising, or marketing at any time.

8. Security

We protect data in transit with HTTPS/TLS and apply access controls, logging, and least-privilege practices to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

9. Children

Evixpdf is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
